RINGKNOCKER Virtual Meetup #10 with Laura Hatcher
Laura Hatcher (USNA ’92) grew up in a military family with the understanding that she could do anything. She’s spent a lifetime trying to fit it all in.
CAPT Hatcher is a qualified Navy Diving Officer and Intelligence Officer with over 30 years of uniformed service and an expeditionary intelligence command under her belt. In a world of BUPERS-managed warfare designators, Laura forged her own career path. She’s a sky diver, a Harley rider, a professional photographer, and a mom-in-combat-boots who has at every step of her career chosen to follow the path she found most interesting, most challenging, and best aligned with her internal creative vision.
Laura expresses that vision through the lens of a camera—HER camera—and she is passionate about encouraging others to seek their own best expression through their own flavor of entrepreneurship. This week Laura has a message for officers navigating a transition to civilian life, whether that means retirement or just the end of a service commitment: you don’t have to sit in a cubicle.
The best path is not always the safest one. You CAN do anything. Don’t miss this one.
