RINGKNOCKER Virtual Meetup #18 with Dave Rudko & Dennis Volpe
Dave Rudko (USNA ’92) and Dennis Volpe (USNA ’96) are strong supporters of the RINGKNOCKER community and are at Meetups almost as often as I am! This week, Dave and Dennis are teaming up to share some ideas that will serve every single one of us who doesn’t happen to work in a hermetically sealed box.
Dave will brief us on the DISC Model of Human Behavior. DISC is a simple, practical, and universally applicable model that provides insight into how people behave and how they are motivated. The DISC model empowers us to easily identify and understand our own personality style, and then recognize and adapt to the styles of others in a way that results in more effective communications and improved team dynamics.
Dennis will brief us on Emotional Intelligence (EQ). EQ is about self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management, and it’s something that can be learned. EQ helps us build stronger, more meaningful relationships and is a critical component in successfully achieving our career and personal goals.
Taken together and consciously applied, these two ideas have the power to make a huge impact on our personal and professional experience. DON’T MISS THIS ONE!
