Randy Wimmer (USNA ’91) is a former Navy Surface Warfare Officer and Operations Research Analyst with a decade on active duty.
After entering civilian life, Randy managed Federal Government contracting for several large corporate employers before striking out on his own. He has since founded, scaled, and sold two companies whose focus was government contracting, and now spends much of his professional life helping others achieve a level of success in government contracting similar to his own.
Randy has lots of critical insights to share with the RINGKNOCKERs. Here are two:
- The Federal Government takes the guesswork out of product development. They ask for precisely what they want–often to a minute specification–and once contracted, are bound by law to spend their budget!
- Acquiring government contracts is not difficult… but it IS complicated. Navigating that complexity is a teachable skill, and once learned is a powerful advantage over your competition!
