RINGKNOCKER Virtual Meetup #48 with Rachael Jackson
This event is already in the can! Check out the After Action Report for a summary of the proceedings and subscribers-only content like resource links, shareable video clips, and the full Meetup video with notes and deep links!
The guest speaker at this week’s RINGKNOCKER Virtual Meetup is Rachael Jackson (USMA ’03).
While some of us were back in Army bootcamp marching to “I Hear the Choppers Coming,” little did we know that we’d be hearing from one of the very people this cadence was written about! Armed with a Bachelors in Engineering Physics and after completing flight school in Huntsville, Alabama, Rachael climbed into the cockpit as a brand new Apache helicopter pilot in 2005 and deployed to Iraq the following year. After sustaining injuries on deployment that curtailed her time on active duty, Rachael picked up the baton and continued mission for the next nine years as an Engineer in the Army’s Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) Software Engineering Directorate.
Today, Rachael is Founder and CEO of REV, a community-first social platform bringing people together with inspiring stories and nurturing communities to create positive impact. She founded REV as a platform to highlight authenticity, wisdom, and the best of humanity. The meaning behind REV and Rachael’s path to this amazing venture are such powerful stories in and of themselves that it would be a shame to miss out on hearing them live. She is passionate about helping leaders like you make the positive impact you want to make and believes in the power of storytelling to connect people in more meaningful ways.
For any leader of character and courage who is discouraged by the way things seem to be trending in this country, Rachael and the REV team are building a platform with the goal of bringing people together for making an incredibly positive and unifying impact in the world. This discussion will address the need to revise social networking and how REV helps to connect people to more meaningful relationships, to meaningful resources for hope, help and purpose as well as to opportunities to make a meaningful impact in our families, communities, workplaces, cities and beyond.
As leaders, we serve in and beyond uniform as portals to resources for hope, help and purpose, and we inspire the best in people. Plan to join this week’s RINGKNOCKER Virtual Meetup to learn how you can help Rachel set the tone and build the foundation, serving as influencers, in REV.
