RINGKNOCKER Virtual Meetup #68 with David Duncavage
The guest speaker at this week’s RINGKNOCKER Virtual Meetup is David Duncavage (USMA ’75).
Every once in a while the RINGKNOCKER platform delivers a completely unexpected surprise. This was the case during RVM-64, when Dave visited us for the first time and delivered his introduction.
Dave has 25 years of executive experience bringing new technologies to high-tech markets. These include semiconductor process equipment, analytical software suites, desalination technologies, high-temperature superconductivity, data center asset management, and IoT systems.
But before that—between his years as an Army Infantry officer and his career in high tech—Dave spent several years as a Trappist monk. The Trappists are a monastic order in the Catholic Church focused on prayer, meditation, and manual labor. After leaving the monastery, Dave received a master’s degree in theology and conducted doctoral work as an affiliate scholar at Harvard on Christian-Buddhist studies.
So this is a pretty good example of a road less traveled. And as a consequence, Dave has an utterly unique perspective on mindfulness, vision, leadership, and the audacity of bringing people together to create new things. Dave brings all of this together in his coaching practice, and this week he will share his perspective and story with the RINGKNOCKER audience.
Hold onto your hats, shipmates, and DON’T MISS THIS ONE!
